Día Internacional de la Mujer y la Niña en la Ciencia
El viernes 10 de febrero se realizaba en el CEIP Doctor Fleming con la colaboración del IES Juan López Morillas con motivo del "Día Internacional de la mujer y la niña en la ciencia", una serie de talleres relacionados con la ciencia y la tecnología.
El alumnado de 1º de bachillerato tecnológico, acompañados de la profesora M.Rosario López, han actuado como monitores de los mismos. Todo el alumnado del CEIP Dr. Fleming ha pasado por los stand de proyectos relacionados con la ingeniería aeroespacial, robótica, mecánica ,arquitectura, ciencia y tecnología realizados por el alumnado de 1º de bachillerato .
La actividad ha resultado sumamente motivadora y ha logrado los objetivos de dar a conocer a las mujeres científicas más relevantes de la historia y fomentar en el alumnado las vocaciones científico tecnológicas especialmente en las niñas dentro de los programas Steam que desde el instituto y desde el colegio Dr Fleming se llevan trabajando desde hace unos años.
Estamos muy orgullosos de esta iniciativa y poder acercar la ciencia a los más pequeños.
Otra actividad a desarrollar el lunes 13 de febrero en el instituto es una mesa redonda “El testimonio de nuestras científicas”.
Asistirá el alumnado de 3º de ESO que el próximo curso debe tomar una decisión sobre las materias que debe cursar en el siguiente curso para su futura formación académica.
Agradeciendo a todas las profesoras del centro que imparten materias de ciencias que han estado dispuestas a participar en las actividades propuestas, se han seleccionado a una profesora de cada disciplina para que puedan dar su testimonio al alumnado. Las profesoras que van a participar en esta mesa redonda son:

- Rosario López
- Yolanda Muñoz.
Y también queremos destacar el buen trabajo del Centro Municipal de Información a la Mujer de Jódar en la elaboración del Vídeo para conmemorar el ‘Día Internacional de la Mujer y la Niña en la Ciencia’ (11 de febrero) con la colaboración de las profesoras de Ciencias del IES Juan López Morillas, que hablan de su vocación:
Las ciencias son también cosas de chicas, “Sueña hoy quién quieres ser mañana”.
